The Royal Palace
During my early tour of the city, I made a trip to one the top tourist locations: the Royal Palace. Sitting on over 30,000 acres, this place is extravagant to say the least. While the King (currently 60 years on the thrown -- the longest current reign on the planet) no longer lives here, they still hold a variety of functions, etc. on the grounds. The gold and designs have amazing detail ... and I though my mother had rich taste! :-)

Looks like you're off to a great start. Keep the pics coming. Hey, I think we stayed in that Novotel (for one night) that you can see from your window. There is a big mall, MBK, right around there (not sure if it is the one in the picture ) that has a great, cheap foodcourt on the top floor. You buy tickets at the counter and use the tickets to get your food at all the different booths. You can stuff yourself on great Thai food for a couple bucks AND get to sit in a nice air-conditioned building!
