Introduction
Well, the next adventure in my B-school experience is ready to begin. I leave for Bangkok, Thailand within the next couple of days to engage in an exchange program with the business school at the University of Sasin -- a top university in Bangkok, Thailand. I will be joined by 6 other Kellogg students in a 4-month exchange program through the Kellogg School of Management. For my b-school experience, this is the 4th international trip since I quit work in 5/2005 -- to date, the travels have included South America - before school began, Brazil - spring break 2006, and Germany (World Cup 2006). The extended travel opportunities have easily been the most enjoyable surprise of the b-school experience.
We will be involved with classes for two mini-semesters of two classes each: 12/13 -> 1/10, and 1/23 - 2/23, On the front end, in the middle, on the tail end (i.e. I don't return to Chicago until 3/21), and on just about every weekend in between, I plan to explore the Southeastern Asian region, and potentially Australia, to the greatest extent possible. I have heard many great stories about Cambodia, Vietnam, the southern islands of Thailand, Chiang Mai (in the northern part of Thailand), Laos, etc. ..and I'm sure I'm missing a few. I don't even know geographically where many of these countries are, but I'm sure I'll pick it up pretty quick!
Building upon the success of my South American blog, I plan to keep this blog updated in a very similar fashion -- i.e. written monologue and pictures every 4-5 days. As usual, I will do my best to entertain :)
